Egdon Resources has a non-operated interest in the currently shut in Nooks Farm gas field in PEDL141.
The company acquired several licence interests in the North West through our 2014 Alkane Energy acquisition.
Whilst non-core to the company they are potentially of value, especially PEDL191, given the significant success and continued efforts of IGas and partner INEOS in exploring shale in the area which may resume now 2019 Fracking Moratorium has been lifted in September 2022.
IGas’ wells at Ince Marshes and Ellesmere port just south of PEDL191 across the Mersey being of particular interest. Further drilling is planned by IGas in this area. IGas Plans to test the naturally fractured Pentre Chert at Ellesmere port-1 and to drill a second exploration well at Ince Marshes targeting the Telia shale and Pentre Chert formations. We currently have no firm exploration plans for these licences.
